Planning Department

The Planning Department provides information and services to the public and County officials to aid land use policy and project decision making. The staff supports the Board of Supervisors, Markleeville Design Review Committee, Planning Commission, and the Tri-County Technical Advisory Committee. Applicants are assisted with development project review from special events to Master Plans. The range of duties for the Planning Department includes:

  • Code enforcement
  • Environmental review
  • General Plan and Zoning Ordinance
  • Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
  • Transportation planning
