The County Administrative Office is located in the County Administration Building, at 99 Water Street in Markleeville.

The County Administrative Office performs the following services:

  • Administration - serves as the Board of Supervisors' advisor and agent, provides the Board with objective analyses of issues on its agenda, handles media relations on behalf of the County
  • Personnel - oversees employee recruitment, maintains and updates job classifications and descriptions and salary plan, maintains employees' personnel files, serves as the Board's representative in employee negotiations
  • Purchasing - serves as purchasing agent for the County
  • As risk manager, administers workers' compensation/liability/property and loss prevention; administers employee benefits
