More intensive treatment options such as access to a psychiatrist and psychiatric hospitalization are also available to county residents when necessary. Because of the remoteness of our community ant the limited resources within the county, the mental health program maintains contractual relations with high quality intensive services outside of Alpine county. These services, when clinically necessary, are available to residents of all ages regardless of ability to pay.
