Dr. Harvey has been a resident of Alpine County for many years. He graduated from the University of California in Berkeley in 1967 and attended the University of Southern California School of Medicine. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine and has previously taught emergency medicine at the University of Vermont. He has a special interest in preventative medicine. Dr. Harvey is married and has 2 daughters. He enjoys cross country skiing, , cycling , gardening and hiking with his wife and their dog Bridger.

He is also active on a number of volunteer organizations in Alpine County
