About
The Assessor's office is located in the County Administration Building, at 99 Water Street in Markleeville. Our office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, closed for from 12 to 1 for lunch and closed holidays
The Assessor's office performs the following services:
- Locates, describes and values all taxable property in the county
- Processes homeowners' and other tax exemptions
- Produces the property tax assessment rolls
- Assists the public with property valuation questions
At the Assessors' office, you can:
- View Assessor Parcel Maps (APN Maps) and Official Recorded maps at the public counter. Copies are available for a fee (not available online)
- View real estate sales in Alpine County (general information) available at the public counter computer (not available online)
