There are several service areas within the department: Public Health Services deals with the health and well being of the citizens of Alpine County. Their services include Health Care, Prevention of communicable diseases, Tobacco Education, Immunizations, Well Child Examinations, HIV and Sexually Transmitted Diseases, and much more.
