Outpatient Mental Health Counseling

A Service of Alpine County Behavioral Health Services

Individuals or families experiencing emotional, mental, or behavioral difficulties, whether resulting from a mental health disorder or the stresses of daily life, may speak confidentially with a licensed therapist in a comfortable setting.

School-Based services are also available to students at Diamond Valley School with the written permission of a parent or legal guardian.

Intensive Mental Health Treatment Options

A Service of Alpine County Behavioral Health Services

More intensive treatment options such as access to a psychiatrist and psychiatric hospitalization are also available to county residents when necessary. Because of the remoteness of our community ant the limited resources within the county, the mental health program maintains contractual relations with high quality intensive services outside of Alpine county. These services, when clinically necessary, are available to residents of all ages regardless of ability to pay.

Alcohol and Drug Program

A Service of Alpine County Behavioral Health Services

Individuals in need of assistance due to abuse of alcohol or other drugs may meet with a licensed therapist or a recovery specialist with the necessary knowledge and experience to help. The counselors are specifically trained in helping the individual to determine the severity of the problem and what to do about it. All services are confidential.

Alcoholics Anonymous

A Service of Alpine County Behavioral Health Services.

An open meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous is held weekly in Bear Valley and available to anyone interested in recovery from chemical dependency.
