Please be assured that during the COVID 19 pandemic, Behavioral Health Services is still providing mental health services.  However, to assist in reducing the spread of COVID 19, our offices are closed to the public until further notice.

If you are in need of mental health services, please call us at (530) 694-1816, or on our
24-hour crisis line at (800) 318-8212, and we will assist you to the best of our ability.

You can also receive Mental Health Support remotely, or online.  Whether you're experiencing coronovirus anxiety or a worsening of another mental health condition due to the COVID-19 outbreak or your needs are unrelated to it, you can connect with professional or peer support when you need it right from home.  Healthyplace is the largest consumer mental health site on the internet.  To access Healthplace, click on the link below:

Please remember:  take steps to protect yourself.  Clean your hands often, avoid close contact, cover coughs and sneezes, and clean and disinfect frequently.

 MISSION
 The mission of ACBHS is to provide safe, ethical and accessible services that inspire personal growth and development through strength-based behavioral health programs and supportive connections.


We welcome you to Alpine County Behavioral Health, Mental Health Services.  We provide specialty mental health services for people who live in Alpine County, including those who are eligible for Medi-Cal.  For an introduction to the services we offer, please click on this link:

 Comprehensive mental health and substance abuse services are available to all residents of Alpine County regardless of ability to pay.

Pregnant and recently postpartum women will receive priority admission for substance abuse treatment.

These services include:
  • Outpatient individual and family counseling for mental health issues
  • Outpatient individual substance abuse treatment counseling
  • Outpatient groups for mental health, alcohol and drug issues
  • Inpatient mental health treatment options
  • Psychiatric consultation for medications via tele-health technology
  • Inpatient treatment and/or detoxification for substance use disorder

Mental Health Services Act Annual Update 2019-2020

All services are offered with respect for the individual and with the belief that your natural tendency is to strive toward health. Our goal is to assist you in that process. Call or come in to access services and speak to our staff, office hours are Monday through Friday 8-5. Our phone number is 530-694-1816 and our address is 75-C Diamond Valley Rd. Services are available at any of our four office locations throughout the county as well as in locations outside the office to suit our clients needs.
