The Planning Department performs the following services:

  • Provides staff support to both the Planning Commission and the Board of Supervisors, helping them plan for growth by advising them on important issues in relation to land use decisions
  • Leads the preparation, periodic review, and revision of the county general plan
  • Provides information on land development, then reviews and makes recommendations on land development applications.
