Volunteers Needed!
The Alpine County Victim/Witness Assistance Program is seeking a "few
good volunteers" to help provide services to victims of crime in Alpine County.
Volunteers may be able to assist with a wide variety of duties, including:
• Providing emotional support by accompanying victims or witnesses to
court;
• Providing child care for victims and witnesses during court hearings;
• Distributing flyers and brochures to local groups;
• Helping victims document their claims for damages (taking pictures,
obtaining quotes, etc.);
• Compiling a "local resource" list.
Volunteers must undergo a background check and fingerprinting.
If you have a few hours to contribute, or if you might be willing to help out
