Child Health & Disability Prevention
The Child Health and Disability Prevention Program (CHDP) offers free physical examinations for children at specific age intervals from birth to 21 years. These wellness exams include preventive health care as well as early detection of disease and disabilities.

These are free to eligible children of low-to-moderate income families and to children eligible for Medi-Cal. The exams may include referrals to dental, vision, and/or other resources as needed. Families may receive assistance with the referral process and financial assistance for further medical care, if eligible.

Eligibility for CHDP Program is determined by a case eligibility worker at Alpine County HHS. Call 530-694-2235 for additional information.
