The Title III funding from the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self‐Determination Act of 2000 provides funding for projects in Alpine County. Project must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Support of Firewise Communities
- Development or implementation of Community Wildfire Protection Plans
- Search and Rescue operations on Federal land
- Provide or expand access to broadband telecommunication services
Alpine County is seeking project applications from the community for funding by the Title III program. The County anticipates approximately $50,000 to be available in the program this year which is generally spread across multiple projects.
