[ARCHIVED] Water Shutoff Notice - Marklee Village - October 9, 2025

10-03-25 Water Shutoff Notice - Marklee Village_October 9 2025

Sept 30, 2025

To: Markleeville Water Company Corporation members

Subject: Interruption of water service in Marklee Village

Members, the Water Co. is moving forward with the Water System Improvement Project, as the project moves toward completion, it will have an effect on water service to our Corporation members. Pertinent to this notification a water service interruption is planned for Thursday Oct 9, between 8am and 6pm in Marklee Village.

As part of the project, a new section of pipe has been installed between Oxbow to Pinion Rd., to eliminate pipe on private property and increase pipe size to the Pleasant Valley tank. The ‘tie in’ work of the new section to the existing system, will require shutting down water delivery to our Customers in Marklee Village, for one day October 9th.

This new section of pipe will require disinfection prior to being put into service.  The disinfection process requires water service interruption to all property parcels in Marklee Village, including those on Hot Springs Rd.  as well as all side streets from Pleasant Valley rd. and parcels on Timber lane.

We expect this service interruption to last approximately 10 hours. You will not have drinking water from the tap nor be able to flush toilets during this outage.

Prior to the service interruption we recommend storing bottled water.

For all questions pertaining to this Water service outage please contact Kris Hartnett @ 530-694-1879.

We appreciate your patience as we complete this Improvement project.

Markleeville Water Company.
