ORDINANCE OF THE COUNTY OF ALPINE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AMENDING ORDINANCE 677-07 AND CHANGING THE TITLE OF THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER TO COUNTY EXECUTIVE OFFICER
WHEREAS, Ordinance No 677-07 created and established the Office of the County Administrative Officer;
WHEREAS, the Alpine County Board of Supervisors wishes to change the title to County Executive Officer;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Alpine, State of California, do hereby amend ordinance 677-07 amending the Alpine County Ordinance Code by changing the title of the County Administrative Officer to County Executive Officer. Every reference in the County Code, County contract, or State law to "County Administrative Officer" or "CAO" shall be considered a reference to "County Executive Officer" or "CEO."
SECTION 2: Constitutionality/Severability
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The Board of Supervisors hereby declares that it would have adopted the ordinance and each section, subsection, clause or phrase thereof, irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, clause or phrases be declared invalid.
SECTION 3: Effective Date.
This ordinance shall become effective and in full force and effect at 12:01 a.m. on the thirtieth (30th) day after its passage, and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from its passage, it shall be posted in a prominent location at the Board of Supervisors Chambers, Markleeville, together with the names of the Board of Supervisors members voting for and against the same, and shall remain posed thereafter for at least one week.
