PUBLIC NOTICE
Bear Valley Village Road Reopening Preparation
Alpine County would like to inform residents and visitors of Bear Valley Village that the Alpine County Roads Department will begin road preparation activities this week in anticipation of reopening the subdivision to vehicle traffic.
Due to recent warm temperatures, road crews will begin snow removal and road shaving operations to prepare the roadway surfaces for safe travel conditions.
The Roads Department is currently projecting an opening date of Friday, March 20, which coincides with the first day of spring, when the village road loop is expected to return to its normal two-way traffic flow.
During this preparation period, the public is asked to:
• Stay off Bear Valley Village roads while snow removal equipment is operating
• Be mindful of heavy equipment and road crews working in the area
• Begin making arrangements to remove or relocate snowmobiles and winter equipment from roadway areas in preparation for the seasonal transition
These preparations are necessary to ensure a safe and orderly reopening of the village roadway system for the spring and summer seasons.
Alpine County appreciates the community’s patience and cooperation as crews complete this important work.
For situational updates, residents are encouraged to monitor announcements from the Alpine County Sheriff’s Office – Bear Valley Substation.
